Zevader Tamar Tegeny
Rehovot, Israel

Zevader Tamar is 27 years old. She was born in Ethiopia and came to Israel at the age of 4 with her nuclear family (2 parents and 5 siblings). Her youngest brother is the only family member who was born in Israel and this was the fulfillment of her parent's dream – to give birth to a child in Israel! She holds a BA in Psychology and Human Resources and is currently studying for her Master's in Public Policy at Tel Aviv University. In her professional life she is the Director of the Youth Center at the Kiryat Moshe Community Center. Last year she coordinated a program called "Sparks for Science" at the Davidson Institute, which trains gifted Jewish teens from the Ethiopian community in the science field. In 2019 she led a humanitarian delegation of volunteers to Tanzania. Tamar feels privileged to participate in 248 and work to establish contacts with Jews in the Diaspora.
