How do I sign up & what can I expect?

What is the experience of the annual program like?

  1. Immerse yourself in an exploration of current Jewish Issues through a global conversation with colleagues from Europe, North America and Israel.

  2. Ideate and plan your action in a unique Do-A-Thon in Israel with Doers from around the world

  3. Implement your idea in your community

  4. Get together once again for a Global Summit to share experiences and takeaways

What does an organization need to do in order to be part of next year’s cohort?

If you are a Jewish organization working with young adults or seeking to engage young adults, please write us at BrendaG@jafi.org and we will be in touch.

Is there a financial obligation to participate?

Yes. A participation fee and a travel component. Local Jewish community organizations (Jewish Federations in most cases) who join 248 are able to determine both these costs for their participants.

What are the requirements? Do I have to already be involved in my local Jewish community?

We are looking for Doers. People who are willing to invest time and effort to get to know more about our Jewish collective and to act in order to strengthen it. If you are a passionate, self motivated action taker and you care about what it means to be Jewish in today’s world, we want you with us.

What is the monthly time commitment?

4-6 hours per month.
