Sofya (Sonia) Stomakhina

Sofya (Sonia) Stomakhina is the 248 coordinator for Moscow Hub. 

She holds a Bachelor Degree in Cultural Anthropology and her graduate work was in the field of modern Jewish communities in Russia. 
Sofya spent a year living in Ramat Gan, Israel, and she is a MASA Israel Journey program Alumna. She has extensive experience in different Jewish leadership programs for Russian-speakers. Sofya started working for the Jewish Agency for Israel five years ago as a counselor in Jewish summer camps. Today she works full-time as a project manager at the Moscow office of the Jewish Agency. In addition to her main job, she is a volunteer for the JEvents project, an information platform with Jewish events and news. 

 Sofya lives in Moscow with her husband Mikhael. She enjoys cooking, listening to podcasts and road trips across Russia and Europe.
