Merav Asulin
Rehovot, Israel
For the past seven years I have been running the 360 Program - a national program for children and youth at risk in two cities in Israel. I have lived in Rehovot for the past five years with my beloved family. I am married and the mother of two adorable teenagers. As a family we really enjoy traveling together in Israel and around the world and thanks to the Coronavirus, this year we exchanged accommodation in hotels and youth hostels for accommodation in a tent in the desert and it was an amazing experience! Professionally I have always combined the need to make a living with giving to the community. I have worked with immigrant students for over ten years and helped build a program that will allow immigrant students to find the place where they can contribute and be part of the fabric of Israeli society. In recent years I have been involved in the field of promoting social mobility for underprivileged populations through prevention and treatment programs in the community. Alongside work I really enjoy studying. I studied group facilitation, medical clowning and I have a Master’s degree in education. These days I am also finishing up my Master's in sociology at Tel Aviv University. I am very much looking forward to meeting new friends and getting to know a new world through 248.
