Gordon Hecker

Gordon Hecker has over 30 years of management experience. He has worked as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Fortune 1000 companies Scotts Miracle-Gro and Nationwide Insurance.

In 2012, Hecker left Corporate America to become the President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Columbus. After five years in that position, he retired to focus on travel and volunteering.

Hecker now serves as the Chair, International Society for Orr Shalom, Israel’s premier NGO caring for abused and neglected children. He Co-Chairs the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Columbus and he teaches Networking to help job seekers gain meaningful employment. 

During the course of his career, he has exhibited a focus on collaboration, growth and project management.

Hecker and his wife Donna reside in Columbus, Ohio but they travel extensively. They have three grown children.

Hecker earned his MBA from the University of Chicago and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University.
