Amalia Prohofsky
St. Paul, USA
Amalia grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. She’s a software developer, but outside of work she enjoys working on all aspects of live theater. Her favorite things include her dogs, dragons, creating art, writing stories, and watching movies. She once spent a summer canoeing through the Arctic, and a year living in Hyderabad, India, but also loves just being home in Minnesota. Amalia's connection to Judaism follows her wherever she goes. At a college with no Jewish student organization, Amalia hosted twenty people on the floor of her dorm for a Passover Seder. She's built a sukkah out of bookcases, used a Puja Thali as a hanukkiah, and made hamantaschen in a toaster oven. She loves how Jewish traditions allow her to connect with other people and is always looking for ways to make them even more inclusive and welcoming.
